Nominator's project description
| Professor Kimmelman is one of the international leaders in the field of medical ethics. In particular he focuses on issues of translational medicine, that is the complex and often futile process by which new pathophysiological insights, diagnostics, and therapies are translated from the preclinical to the clinical realm. In Germany, his research will include improving the design of preclinical research, fostering the uptake and interpretation of preclinical findings among clinical trial designers and developing a series of training modules. |
